Textile dyeing

Tie-dye has made a comeback in the 90s, appearing in retail collections from sneakers to underwear. Tie-dye products are simple, easy-to-make crafts that require minimal materials and skills.

You can buy white T-shirts in bulk and dye them, or tie-dye fabric to create a one-of-a-kind product, depending on your skill level. You can also try traditional Japanese tie-dyeing, a resist-dyeing method that uses natural indigo dye.

Or, make your own fabric to sew unique DIY crafts or handmade clothing - another hot craft for 2024.

🧶 Tips:

Fabric dyes (both synthetic and natural) can be purchased in stores. You can also try making your own dyes with ingredients in your kitchen, such as avocado peels, turmeric, or tea.
Tie-dyeing is usually resist-dyed using string or rubber bands. But anything can be used for this purpose - try using clips, clothespins, or resist-dyeing methods like batik.
